Mixing scarves with busy prints is often more than tricky, but it does work sometimes.. when colors and patterns correspond. Seeing this dress I thought immediately off my Belles du Mexique Mousseline Carré, not only because of the color scheme, but imagining how well the light and airy butterflies would go with the floating and twirling dancers. It turned out to be a perfect match, it almost feels as if they are dancing together..

Dearest MT, I just had a chat the other day with another lady on mixing prints! What a coincidence, and can I please say you have done a perfect job!! I doubt I could ever pull this off, and the colours look fabulous on you <3 I love it with your hair down best! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for the tip on the scarf top with my CSMC, definitely worth a try :)
Have an amazing weekend! xx
very elegant and summery MaiTai - lovely to see your long hair too!
ReplyDeleteThank you dear dd, really glad you like this look! It's wild for me, but for some reason I love it, perhaps because it is so light and summery. Have a wonderful w/e too! xx
ReplyDeleteMichelle, so funny just when I wrote summery to dd, your comment came in! Summer is still going on strong here, I am longing for some cooler weather by now.. Have a great weekend! :-)
ReplyDelete^^^LOL! we have very mixed weather here today its been windy , heavy rain then warm and sunny !immpossible to dress for this weather!i suppose layers are the answer but not easy to peel off and carry when shopping!!enjoy the good weather and have a brill weekend x
ReplyDeleteMT great combination! The colours are perfect together making for another very elegant look! Clever lady! I hope it stays warm a just little longer for my trip next week like MichElle says it is soooo cold here in England!
ReplyDeleteMichelle, I remember the mixed weather in England only too well! It's one of the reasons we moved here.. and yes, layers are the answer!
ReplyDeleteScarf Addict, thank you for your lovely comment. Hope you'll catch some sunshine on your upcoming trip!!
ReplyDeleteits been the same again today!! one minute rain then gales then hot sunshine - ive not been out just around the garden with doggie going out tonight for dinner and hope it settles! did you live in england?? if so, whereabouts?? I did think you may of lived in Chelsea perhaps?? a real wild guess to be honest but you are so sophisticated and appreciate many nice brands that they have in Chelsea?
ReplyDeleteHello MaiTai - What a lovely combination -they really complement each other and add a richness and sophistication one to the other with you, as always, the elegant "centerpiece". Speaking of weather, we just went, very quickly, from gloriously sunny and breezy to heavy rain. Seems the theme fo the "summer" in many places this year! Going into H on Monday for my scarf tying session - so exciting!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend.
Maisie
Michelle, I love Chelsea too..I used to live within a short walk of the Kings Road ;-)
ReplyDeleteMaisie, thank you for your kind comment and yes, sunshine and rain makes it tricky to dress! Have a great time on Monday, looking forward to hearing how it went!
Good guess then! I love Chelsea, my hairdresser is there and I like the shops - Balance on Kings Rd is great too and of course its nr H and Harrods!!my friend lives on Beaufort St and I used to stay at Wyndham just nearby - I now stay at Jumeirah Pont St(cheaper taxi wise!). Enjoy the warm weather in France - we are lacking it here at 20c!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Those light colors are so nice for summer.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comment Deja Pseu and welcome to my blog! :-)
