DH was kind enough to snap a few street action pics, finally a chance to have my Jumping boots in the frame too. Wearing all black (again!), apart from the scarf, which is storm grey (thank you for the wonderful color description, s-a-m) with gold, black and cream accents.
Fur collar by MaiTai Collection
Outside the restaurant where we had lunch, we were greeted by a 'flower hostess', love the the simplicity and creativity of this beautiful display
featured scarf La Presentation de Chevaux, tied in an Ascot knot. Click here for a how to video.
Happy New Year, MaiTai. I am glad to be the first one to comment on this fabulous look. As a black outfit gives women beautiful, elegant, refined look, your creativity of combining fur, silk, and Kelly booties has created a magnificent look with a luxury finish. Your style is VERY inspiring!! Love it.
ReplyDeleteA very happy New Year to you too, smokycake and thank you for your lovely commment. ITA with you on black, it always look polished, and it's such a perfect backdrop for the fun things to add on. And yes, the luxury finish is so much to do with accessoires, the coat is Benetton from 2 years ago, lol! x
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful MaiTai-- Your outfit is such a wonderful combination of textures- scarf and collar along with your coat and leather boots---How I love those boots!! --My wardrobe consists of a lot of black and I find by adding scarves and collars I can vary my look so easily...it has been so much fun to come up with the different combinations
ReplyDeleteYou look so beautiful and elegant, as usual. The boots are just perfect on you. By the way, do you mind me asking how tall you are? I've always been curious as your outfits (be it a dress or a pair of jeans) look so balanced on you.
ReplyDeleteDear andiamo, how I love those boots too! And yes, playing with scarves and collars is such fun, yay to accessories!!

ReplyDeleteI adore the grey scarf with the black outfit. The picture that is a closer shot of you is the loveliest photo I've seen of you yet. Love the lipstick color too. Just a pretty shot. The scarf almost looks like a winter scene - hard to tell. Looks perfect though!

ReplyDeleteWelcome to my blog Julia! So nice to hear that you like it. It's so cold here right now, I 'almost' wish I could wear a singlet! ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh, LOVE your boots. You make me want to get a pair even though I'm on a strict budget this year. Thank you for letting me live vicariously through you! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Precious Happy! Love your nick, it makes me smile just typing it.
ReplyDeleteI've convinced myself to look at the price of the boots as cost per wear, calculated over a few decades that is! ;-)
Laugh. You're one smart gal! That's a great way to look at it Mai Tai. I would try it on my Hubby but he just got me a Pink Crocodile Collier de Chien bracelet and an Ombre Lizard Collier de Chien bracelet for Christmas. I'm afraid I might be pushing it if I ask for any more Hermes. Maybe I'll hold off until he forgets about the recent purchases then broach the subject. Wish me luck! ;)
ReplyDeleteWho's the smart girl then, tehehe! Well done on xmas, wishing you the best of luck to cloud your DH's short term memory! x

ReplyDeleteSo happy to see you in your boots -when factored over a lifetime of wear and pleasure they are very economical indeed!!!
MaisieZ
Dearest Tai!
ReplyDeleteWow, luv the way you mix masculine (boots) + feminine (shaped coat, scarf, scarf fur collar), to perfection.
I see so many women wearing riding boots who sort of overdo the masculine part of it, and honestly, who end up looking like Robin Hood's son.
You, however, are just pure perfection.
Thank you for showing us how to pull-off the riding boots look for a woman.
