Accessorizing with blue

Ms Bolide is the first blue bag I have had in all my life, so teaming her up with my wardrobe and accessories is a fun and exciting challenge.

Yesterday, I've been wearing a light and neutral outfit (Esprit cardie, Anne Fontaine shirt, Kookai trousers), and normalement would have taken my taupe Picotin along... but of course, Ms B had to come with me! Just adding the bag would have seem a bit 'unmotivated' , so I needed something to 'tie' her into the outfit. Trying out a couple of scarves and accessories, I found that a Belle de Mexique mousse with it's blue accents, and a blue/black/silver Chaîne d'Ancre enamel, provided just the right touches to pull all elements together into a harmonious look.

DH and I took DS to the open day of a school he might possibly attend from next year on. The day was a success, and DS very much liked the place. Walking the school grounds reminded me to plant a lilac bush this summer, their sweet fragrance is so wonderfully evocative of spring.

Wishing everyone a wonderful Sunday!

  4. I think it's great, that you're trying to "blend in" the bolide in such subtle and unexpected ways. Simple and easy would not be you - the different twist is, what adds the extra sparkle and shows the real fashion pro! hugs and a good start into your 2nd blue week, <3, HM.

  7. I'm not sure which looks more beautiful - you or the lilac bush!

The Belles is perfect with the Bolide - the B&B team - lovely.

  13. Maitai, now I can see the color of the Bolide better from these beautiful photos. It really is a special piece - lovely shade of blue - and it suits you so well - and your outfit is perfect! Isn't Hermes just amazing with colors? Before H, there were colors I would not even have contemplated considering as a bag. You look gorgeous amidst the fragrant lilac bush - one of my favorites! Hope all will work out for your DS. xoxo

  15. Thank you Iva :-)

Merci, dear ABG <3 Today, I teamed Ms B with an orange/blue Puzzle II, and it works very well too. Much stronger in color, but Ms B takes it all in her stride!

JTandIS, thank you for your kind comment, and yes, the new photos capture the BdP really well. You are so right about H colors, the citrus fruit colored window display had me completely mesmerized.. organge, lemon and lime, I would have never thought, lol!

Bonjour Stephanie, so true, the bag is a chameleon. In dark light, it has a lot of grey in it, and in sunshine there is a hint of green. It's great fun to find those colors that go well with it. PS Love your new avatar pic!

  23. I love how you paired Ms Bolide with your Belles
and just perfect with your enamel! The etoupe is
beautiful with your blue. I use etoupe with my
blue jean and love the look. Have you considered
orange with Ms Bolide. H has an enamel bracelet
(Perfume Bottles) that is orange background with
blue bottles and it looks so pretty! Love the Lilacs,
    what fragrance!

I also very much like your combo of Etoupe and BJ, it is so light and fresh!
