Simple pleasures

It was a beautiful day today, and in the afternoon, DS and I decided to go on a bike ride. We rode through the vines and little country roads, both very much enjoying the warm spring sunshine.

It was wonderful to see new and fresh green everywhere, and all those pretty little blossoms between rows of olive trees.

DS stopped to pick 'flowers' for mum

When we came back home, I arranged his offerings into little posies, and placed them in antique french bistro glasses in my kitchen.

They may only be little wildflowers and weeds, and may not last long, but the joie de vivre that came with them, puts them on the top of my list of most cherished bouquets.

Wishing everyone a great week ahead!

MaiTai xx

  1. Beautiful pictures and beautiful bouquets straight from the heart, which are always the best kind.

That picture of DS with his nose buried in those blooms is so sweet. I'm sure he was deciding if they smelled good enough to present to Mom.

I do wish there would be a pause button, dear MiaT, or at least a slow motion one. Not for him, but for me!

  12. Chiming in on the compliments regarding DS. What a cutie - but of course with you as his mom, how else was he supposed to turn out?! He'll definitly make a great husband some day - it will just be very hard work to find a woman even slightly comparable to you! Thank you so much for the pics, they are not only beautiful, but also brought back some childhood memories. <3, HM.
