Yesterday was a glorious day, blue skies and sunshine, and looking out of the window in the morning, all appeared green, as if wines, bushes and trees have grown their leaves another inch over night.
I left the house early, and since the mornings are still chilly, teamed my 'De Madras à Zakynthos' scarf with the new Poudre scarf fur collar.
Coming back home, I saw our little orange tree has been moved back into it's summer place, it's beautiful fruit matching my new spring scarf, Tours de Clés, in happy orange, pink and fuchsia. The scarf's background is a very light taupe color, which has a calming effect, pulling the brighter shades together, making it wonderfully easy to wear.
The Tours de Clés design (by Cyrille Diatkine) is a joyous and fabulous take on Les Clés, it appears as if a key has turned the pattern several times, alternating between clock wise and counter clock wise. It is fun to 'move' the dials until the keys match, it takes a little bit of patience though!
Tour de Clés, ref 982550S color 02 (orange/mastif/prune)
Wishing everyone a happy Sunday!
Oooh we're scarf twins with Tour de Clés!! And I love the new Poudre fur collar that is just yummy mmmmm......you look really lovely in your pink cardigan, it really suits you and of course it looks even more fab with the collar and Madras.
ReplyDeleteThe countryside looks gorgeous and I agree you can almost see the plants growing here too!! The hard winter has its pluses after all! Thanks for sharing these lovely photos I really enjoyed you post.
Here's to Spring, dear Scarf Addict, and to all the wonderful things it brings! The wonder of a new beginning, while happily shedding that looong winter we had. So nice to be TdC twins with you, and thank you for the lovely compliments. Have a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteahh, spring beauty - Your outfit just reminded me to get started on my diet as I've wanted a pair of white jeans for the longest time! ;-). Anyway, you look ddg as always and your pics make one want to move to France. Speaking of patience - I've also been trying to work out the friendship knot and have been losing my patience over and over. So please, please dear MaiTai, could you do another video? hugs and a wonderful sunday to you, HM <3
ReplyDeleteMa chère ABG, so pleased you enjoyed the post, it is such a happy time of year indeed! And since not all spring days are like that (storms are forcast for next week), this one was even more precious. Feeling a visit to H coming up, has to be the icing on the cake, please let us know of the outcome! Hugs to you too :-)
ReplyDeletePS Off to check FB..
Aww, dear hair-mess, the desires that spring brings with it! I am glad, that my photos 'work', tehe, but first a visit to France, and then moving, okay? The votes for the friendship knot seem to be hotting up, and I've put it on my list :-) Wishing you and the HFT a wonderful Sunday too! <3
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday to you too, MaiTai. Spring is here too though the vines don't carry those beautiful green leaves ... yet.
ReplyDeleteTDC is really nice and very springlike in this cw.
Saw that request and thought I'd put my vote in there as well. ;-) Have to get back to the chores now (sigh). Looking forward to the "how to", hugs again, HM.
ReplyDeleteThis post really puts a smile on my face, love the beautiful colours of orange and fuchsia on you, and the soft pinks and browns too <3 Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteLove the 'turquoise' photo, ABG, it seems to have captured such a happy and precious moment. You look fabulous and the colors are amazing!! Could not find the lift pic though, but am certain that your 'little effort' will produce something beautiful, looking forward to hear!
ReplyDeletehair-mess, get the chores out of the way quick. Isn't this the time when the champagne corks usually pop out chez les hair-mess'? :D
Enjoy a beautiful Spring Sunday, dear booksnchocolate, and thank you for your sweet comment re the TdC. The vines here came out 'tout à coup', but it only happened a few days ago.
Thank you, dear DD, happy you enjoyed the post, I just fell in love with the colors, they are so joyous <3 Have a wonderful weekend too!
And a lovely Sunday to you too, dear MaiTai!
ReplyDeleteWe're back from Paris and I just want to let you and everyone know that we had a delicious and fun dinner at "Le Train Bleu" (and I toasted you for the wonderful suggestion). I definitely also recommend it to anyone visiting the city - especially for the wonderfully nostalgic atmosphere. (My DH remembered it from past trips with his parents and colleagues, but somehow it has always slipped his mind when he's been in Paris with me...)
A trip to the Rue de Grenelle store was also a lot of fun - charming SAs - but I ended up buying... nothing. (A new Mini Brides Carré Fluide is waiting for me in the H boutique at home...)
A visit to the Orient-Hermès exhibition saluting Leila Menchari and recreating eight H windows she designed was a real highlight - we watched an Hermès craftman demonstrating the sellier stitch and I was allowed to try my hand at sewing the leather. What can I say? I'm not ready to attempt making a Birkin yet!
Can't wait for your Bolide reveal - here or on tPF!
xox
How beautiful! Your spring photos bring a smile to my face. The new colours and the pink cardigan look lovely on you.
ReplyDeleteToday, I wore a Guepards scarf in the weave knot - thank you again for the reminder on how to tie it this way.
Cheers to spring!
Welcome back, dear dance and thank you for the fantastic travel report!
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear that you had such a good time at the Train Bleu, will toast you next time I'm there!
I have never checked the store at the Rue de Grenelle, but will try and do so soon. At this point, with the SS collection well established, it is not that surprising to leave 'sans achat', unless previously unseen CWs prove to absolutely captivating. The TdC is my last scarf for this season, bracing myself for the AW collection instead. By now it is only a relativly short wait before it comes in, or should we say trickle, lol.
The exhibition sounds like a must, will see if I can fit it in when I go this week. Leïla Menchari's work is just awesome, and it must be simply wonderful to see it so close up. Lol re the saddle stich, it is mighty difficult indeed, starting with piercing the waxed thread, instead of just threading it through the needle! A couple of years ago, I tried myself on stitching a clochette, and juding by how long it took me, I'd estimate I'd need five years to stitch a whole bag, which then of course would not look like a bag at all, lol!
So lovely to see you here, MiaT, and a very warm welcome to you. The Guepards is such a stunning scarf, I bet it looked amazing in the weave knot. Wishing you a very happy Spring too! <3
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful countryside only surpassed by the beauty of this latest look. And the new Poudre collar - it's gorgeous and just perfect with a blonde's coloring. (I imagine that it will look wonderful with the jumbo pearls too.)
ReplyDeleteNow, are you holding out any more additions to the collar collection?
Beautiful new fur collar, MT - have a happy day :) xxoo Joanne
ReplyDeleteDear Jerrine, glad you enjoyed the spring mix.. will team up Ms Poudre with the pearls asap! No more surprises for now, at least not until AW :D
ReplyDeleteMany thanks, dear Joanne, and have a happy and wonderful day too!

Aaah, MaiTai, spring in the vineyards, what a wonderful sight for sore eyes! Gorgeous photos! I can already imagine the warm sun plumping up those beautiful little grape clusters, just bursting with flavor and readying itself to jump into a bottle of wine (and land on my table!) hehe. You live in such a beautiful place - thank you for sharing it with all of us.
ReplyDeleteYour TdC scarf is gorgeous and those colors suit you wonderfully. Your new spring poudre fur collar is so soft and pretty and looks lovely with your pink sweater.
