In part two of the recent reader's style challenge (how to mix scarves with patterned tops) I am complementing the printed tunic with a scarf and capsule pieces in a two-tone color block. The scarf almost becomes part of the wardrobe, while the patterned top seems to take over the part the scarf usually plays..
featured scarf: Hermès 'Coupons Indiens' 90 Carré
Capsule pieces: coral jeans, navy blazer and printed tunic
Shoes: blue patent pumps
Accessories: Hermès Chaine d'ancre enamel bracelet, Farandole necklace and Bolide in Bleu de Prusse
Scarf: Hermès ‘Coupons Indiens’ 90 Carré worn in the basic bias fold. For a how-to, please click here
All three variations:
May I ask what size is your lovely Bolide? Thank you!
ReplyDeleteIt's a 31, and the leather is Epsom :)
ReplyDeleteAh, I am understanding how this works now, after studying all three posts. Thank you, dear MaiTai for patiently explaining how to pull together this look. Mwah....
ReplyDeleteWarm hugs,
CS
From the 3 posts this one is my favourite!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, my dear! :-)
As dear Scarf Enthusiast so beautifully wrote "you always masterfully find the thread that ties it all together".
Thank you for all the inspiration you give us :-)
Wishing you a lovely week ahead and giving you a hug, Manuela
Sending you my warmest friendship thank you hugs, my dear Manuela <3
DeleteBonjour!
ReplyDeleteSimply lovely! This is my favorite combination. Can I ask how did you wear your hair at the back in this photo, how is the hair look created please? Will you be featuring any modelling shots/shots in action of the Vivier shoes?
I start of with a ponytail, but when twisting the ends through the elastic for the last time, I loop them instead of pulling them through (in a similar way on how the half-bow is created in the criss-cross bow knot). The loop creates the 'bun'. I then pin the stray ends under the bun. Hope this explanation makes sense.
DeleteThis is my favorite look - it is almost magic. The navy blazer and shoes pull it all together. Thank you lieberman MaiTai!
ReplyDeleteMaedi
First up can I give mention to your new blog header, very nice.... the photo selection is fabulous.
ReplyDeleteAs for the this pattern/scarf combo, you've done it again. Great choice on the navy Vivier shoes.
Love all three looks and in total admiration of your "so easy going looking way" of mixing patterns - yet this one is my favorite. ;-) xox, Macs
