Wow!!! Wow! I am speechless!!!! I just can't say which of the window displays is my favourite. Hermes is Hermes!!!!! Simply stunning! Thank you for the amazing photographs, dearest MaiTai. Lots of orange hugs, Manuela <3
ReplyDeleteHermès is Hermès.. you've said it perfectly, my dear Manuela! Orange hugs right back x
DeleteOoooh, lovely! Can't wait to see what your souvenir might be!
ReplyDeleteComing up!
DeleteStunning, as always! J'adore these autumn colors. Thanks for sharing with us!
ReplyDeleteJ'adore aussi.. your new ID is lovely too.
DeleteDear MaiTai, How wonderful, I love when you share your photos of FSH. sending many thanks! I see some nice neutrals, both in Mécanique du Temps and Camails that are tempting! I haven't seen either of those colorways prior, but will now be searching. Hope you had a fun stay in Paris!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks! Re the neutrals, my thoughts exactly when spotting these (and the other beauties) in the display. When asking for them at the scarf counter, I was told they were only made for the display. The SA looked exasperated, telling me I wasn't the first one asking. He added that I won't be the last one either..
DeleteOh my, thanks so much for the details, and disappointing to hear. I can see how exasperating that would be for the sales associates, and for customers! I certainly wish they'd produce them, as they have a quiet, elegance.
DeleteMaiTai... these are beautiful. I love the fall colors. My favorite time of year. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBlessings -P
Glad you enjoyed the post, dear Penney. Here's to the joys of autumn!
DeleteBig sigh of appreciation MT. Absolutely stunning...I will be taking a second and third look in order to absorb all of these rich, luscious viignettes! I so love it when you spoil us...especially this time of year. Hope you had a great trip and as always thanks for thinking of us! We are spoiled indeed! Have a great weekend, T xx
ReplyDeleteI got so excited when I saw the new displays, and it is such a joy to share them with my favorite girls <3 Have a most wonderful weekend too, my dearest T xx
DeleteOOOH LA LA.....how beautiful! What a treasure it must be to see the FSH in person! I can only dream......
ReplyDeleteDo you happen to know the names of the scarf in the 2nd row on the left...and the one in the 6th row photo? They are calling out to me :) Will these scarves be hitting the USA shores soon or are they already here? Love love love them! A million thanks :)
Happy you enjoyed the pics, thank you. The scarf in the second row is 'Mécanique du Temps' and the one in the 6th row is 'La Rose des Vents'. Re the CWs, please read my response to NiniNotes!
DeleteI'm always amazed you you get such clear photos, it's always very busy when i've been.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a nice stay in Paris, i'm sure we are all wondering if you bought back a souvenir!
I'm going in 3 weeks time, I will definitely make a stop at les trois marches you recommended.
Have a most wonderful time in Paris, dear tara! Hope you'll find a treasure at the 3 marches... please say hello to CatherineB! Re the pics, I was lucky. Otherwise, in the beginning of the week and also during the lunch hour it tends to be less busy at FSH.
DeleteAbsolutely breathtaking - thank you dear MT - I look forward to your posts with total anticipation. Nicki
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for the lovely comment, dear Nicki!
DeleteTerrific photography! I know the subject matter helps but you have a real skill.
ReplyDeleteThe muted greys with rust and touches of chartreuse are artistic mastery. Look at those outsize pencils! Loving the final vignettes of the pewter hues of the china, glass and jewellery; the spool of silver thread is a witty podium for these treasures.
Looking forward to a reveal....?!
Many thanks for the kind compliments, dear pussywillow. But as you've said, the subject matter certainly helps! ;-) The windows were particularely wonderful to look at, I have not seen such an abundance of beautiful neutrals in a long time.
DeleteThank you so much for posting these, dear MaiTai! They are magnificent - I will be in Paris in about a month and very much hope to still see these displays. The bicolor ghillies Kellys might cause me to faint on the sidewalk though...
ReplyDeleteWishing you a most wonderful time in Paris, dear SophieG, and crossing my fingers for the displays to be still in place!
DeleteThankyou for sharing these wonderful vignettes , all exudes quiet luxury and I can smell that certain H smell of leather mixed with some
ReplyDeleteof their classic fragrance like Caleche.
How bizarre that they make neutral scarves just for display, what attention to detail also...
So glad to hear you enjoyed the post, dear Estrella! The same wonderful smell seems to be coming from my computer screen when looking at the pics... :-)
DeleteBe Still My Heart. The Mecanique du Temp is to faint over! That cw is stunning beyond belief! But sadly, I read your comment to NikiNotes that it is for display only. This is the exact cw I had hoped for in MdT. Perhaps with enough inquiries, H will do a special issue?
ReplyDeleteSuch drool worthy photos, dear. Thank you for the lovely post.
Orange hugs,
CS
How I wish for the MdT to come out like this! Will let you know should I ever spot one. In the meantime, I have enquired via my SA about it.. not giving up hope yet! xx
DeleteYes, please let me know if you find one! The colors are so perfect!
DeleteWarm hugs,
CS
Such a wonderful treat dear MaiTai, for those of us on the other side of the world. I share the disappointment and question the rationale behind creating such beauties for display only. Ah well...we have your reveal to look forward to.
ReplyDeleteMerci encore une fois,
Maisie
Happy you enjoyed the pics, my dear Maisie, and hope you'll enjoy the upcoming reveal too! The display beauties would go perfectly with it... ;-)
DeleteBeautiful, exquisite, quiet elegance, perfect for fall......I echo everyone else's thoughts! How wonderful of you, MT, to share the joy with us! Fingers crossed, Hermes hears our roar :)
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend, MT and all
PJ
Hope you had a happy weekend too, dear PJ! So lovely to hear you enjoyed the pics, and hope you'll like the second part too (featuring the corner window)!
DeleteWelcome back, dearest MaiTai! As dear Manuela said so superlatively, Hermès is Hermès and I too am absolutely speechless!! I'm totally transfixed - never seen such beautifully rich silver, luxuriously fun pencils, such intensely deep and creamy neutrals….and as usual, the bags and the scarves make me weak at the knees… I am also disappointed to know that we cannot look forward to trying these gorgeous neutral scarves, yet creating a colorway solely for the display is also what I love so much about Hermès! Thank you so much for these stunning pictures - what a most wonderful and special treat this week <3
ReplyDeleteWishing you a lovely weekend back home. Sending you much love and giant orange hugs xxx
So very happy you enjoyed the pics, my dearest Scarf Enthusiast! I was week at the knees too...which made steadying the camera quite tricky! With so many beautiful neutrals in the window displays, I am beginning to get hopeful for the SS2013 scarf collection. Have a wonderful, golden autumn week xx
DeleteWhat eye candy! I don't know how you contain yourself when you see the FSH windows. Aren't those pink/etoupe Kelly's adorable? As always looking forward to seeing your new addition. Axo
ReplyDeleteI could hardly contain myself, my dear msT! Wish I could walk through glass ;-) The Ghillies Kellys are so sweet, and it was lovely to see the leather/colors reversed. Have a happy week! xo
DeleteThanks for the super photos of the windows MT! I am in Paris next week so will check them out - what a pity the scarves on display are not actually in stock - nothing irritates me more than shops having an item on display that they don't actually have in stock - what is the point I ask myself?! I am hoping for a Galop Chromatique at some point though and was pleased to see it featured in the window displays to great effect. Thanks again for sharing, enjoy the weekend SAx
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time in Paris, dear Scarf Addict! The GC looks truly beautiful. According to a previous comment, it should come out in November. Fingers crossed for finding a CW which make our hearts beat faster!
