Skiing

As in many previous years, we spent our skiing holidays in the Haute Savoie part of the French Alps.

The conditions could not have been better, two days before there was a fresh snowfall, and we had sunshine and blue skies during our entire stay.

warming up with chocolat chaud avec chantilly...

The Circuit 24 Faubourg was the scarf I pulled out most...

... as it was such a fresh and perfect match to my black/chocolate skiing outfit

It ended up being one of our coldest skiing holidays.. last Saturday the maximum was -10˚C (14F˚) and the minimum (felt temperature) -30˚C (-22F˚)....brrrrr!

In the meantime, the orchid almost came out (so glad it didn't while we were away) ...

Have a lovely remaining week everyone
xx

  1. Welcome back, dear MT! What a beautiful, idyllic place for a ski holiday! The fresh snowfall on the roofs resembles layer upon layer of eiderdown comforters. Circuit 24 Faubourg seems to be one of your favorites, and for good reason. Very lovely. Thanks for sharing.

    Warm orange hugs,

  5. Yes, me also I already was missing you ! In the meantime I looked at your blog. but difficult to read all. It's why I am curious sometimes and ask you questions that I dont' know. Exampple : I said you could work for Hermes and you said you already work, but I have not guessed what you do, it it the beautiful corn "boucles" ? Also you used a lot of initials so I dont know who are some of them. Maybe one is your son? Anyway, where were you in the Alps ? Megève may be, the snow is really good for skying at the time.
    Kindest regards.

    1. Hello my dear C24F twin! I didn't tuck the ends into the scarf. Before setting off again, I zipped up the top a little higher.

And I have 4 Evelyne different bi coulour and brown, black etc. And I am thinking seriously to buy another Birkin 35 but it's very long to get it and I hesitate fir colour. I can sax you have encouraged me because on you it's si class that I begin to love them again very much. I hesitate for colour may be grey but I have never seen it. I'll ask. I have the Beige Kelly and also in yellow and too big Birkin in brown but too heavy. In any case yes I agree with all your supporter your blog is very very an important one by "son raffinement" et votre gentlesse and politesse. Sorry to put some French words my English is bad. It's a warm grey and a wonderful chameleon color, it seems to go with everything. Love the french words you used, and hope will enjoy the future posts and pictures too!

    1. Lovely to see you again, my dearest Trudye! DS was having fun off piste and in the snow park this time (not with me, but with his class!) The highlight apparently was a huge airbag, where you land after hurling yourself off a fast and steep jump. Hope all is happy and well, and wishing you a lovely weekend too! xx

  13. Hello--I am looking for the Circuit 24 Faubourg scarf online, but cannot find the colors you feature in the post. This appears to be a turquoise pattern on a rich brown background. The web site doesn't show that color combination. Hoping you can help. Thank you. Joanne Walker

    1. The C24F was part of last year's spring/summer collection, and therefore might have sold out online. You can always ask in a H store if they can do a search for you, some boutiques might still have it. The reference number is: 002684S06 The color description is: noir/khaki foncé/turquoise (the border is black). Good luck!
