Below without the leather jacket, in answer to a style challenge submitted by Sue B:
The weather here has turned very cold here on the coast, the sea is rough and crashing over the harbor wall. It's a day to stay tucked up in the warm.. I would be interested to know what you wear for a dress down weekend at home, I want comfort and to look elegant.... Is this possible ??Please add some picture ideas..you have become my style guru !Sue B x
Many
thanks for the style challenge, dear Sue! In general, I would keep the
clothes simple... jeans or plain trousers in combination with cosy
sweaters or cardies always have a comfortable and relaxed feel. I'd also
keep the scarves and knots simple, the more they blend in, the less
dressed up the results are. A cowboy knot (or any knot close
to the neck) or scarf fur collar add extra cosyness and warmth. For a
few more suggestions please see further down this post.
Early spring greetings ~ buds on the horse-chestnut tree..

From previous posts, a few more suggestions for a casual look at home:

Belle semaine

MYRIAM
DeleteYou are the person who would look elegant dressed in a "potato sack" as we say in German :-) Great selection put together.
ReplyDeleteCuirs du Dessert was one of my first scarves in baby-pink and olive. Still love it.
Lots of sunshine and have a lovely week, dear MatTai.
Greetings from snowy Vienna :-)
So nice to be CdC cousins with you, my dear happyface! The pink and olive CW sounds beautiful, what a lovely combination of colors. The 'Kartoffelsack' expression made me laugh.. lieben Dank! Have a happy Valentines Day x
DeleteDearest MT,
ReplyDeletehow gorgeous!
Could you please tell me if you wear your jeans inside the boots? I always find it hard to fit mine in Jumping boots :(
thank you!
I often wear the mocca pair inside the jeans, and the black pair mostly outside. You could take your boots to your local H store, and ask them to send them to Paris to get widenend (they can stretch the circumference up to 2.5 cm). Good luck!

ReplyDeleteYou always look so stylish yet comfortable ! Yet another enjoyable blog.... Thanks, Mandy.
Many thanks for the lovely comment, dear Mandy.
DeleteLove love these colors,,,,so natural and elegant! I enjoy seeing how you match the scarf to the outdoors,,,,just beautiful!! Quick question,,,how do you pronounce your name....MayTay or MyTie? I heard MayTay on a YouTube video, so I thought I should check. Many thanks for all you do,,,thanks to your video, I successfully made a waterfall knot,,,,you're an excellent teacher who inspires me daily!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the kind comment, happy you like the post. Nature and my surroundings are so much of an inspiration to me. Re your question, MyTie is correct :-) Congratulations on the waterfall knot!
DeleteWhat a lovely color combination! Perfect for early spring. That scarf is a stunner.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Déjà Pseu! You might enjoy seeing the CdD displayed in a museum (allthough in a different CW): Cuirs de Désert in Rautenstrauch museum
DeleteBeautiful and elegant as usual! Thank you for the inspiration. I hate to ask you to do more tasks, but you seem to have added many items to the capsule wardrobe. Any chances that you will be doing a review of the capsule wardrobe items? I think I may be losing track!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the kind comment and request, dear Jeannalola. It's true, I have not reviewed the capsule sheets for some time, so a winter retrospective is a good idea! Will try and get to it soon :-)
DeleteBonjour, my dearest Anissa, it is always so lovely to see you stopping by! Happy you enjoyed the recent posts :-) Blowing Valentine bisous across the pond x
ReplyDeleteLovely to start thinking about spring while it is still snowy here in Toronto. I am encouraged to start wearing scarves again - I have a visit planned to the Toronto H boutique. It will be quite an adventure!
ReplyDeleteI received my scarf rings in the mail today. Perfect timing. The packaging is so beautiful. And the scarf rings are wonderful. Thank you.
DeleteSo happy you are pleased, thank you for the kind comment!
DeleteDearest MaiTai,
ReplyDeleteHow lovely you look in one of my favorite color combinations - beautiful styling, so casually elegant and chic. How I adore your fabulous collage - there really is nothing more wonderful than an amazing MaiTai collage. Your delicate orchid buds are so sweet and precious. Thank you as always.
