Spring colors

We just returned from a long weekend with friends in Aquitaine, and since we were lucky enough to have the first really warm and summery days, we could almost watch the leaves coming out.

Baby peppers from nearby Spain (Wash and dry, place on a baking tray and sprinkle with olive oil. Toss and place under a very hot grill until the skin develops golden spots. Sprinkle with sea salt and serve)

Wildflowers from the wood, picked by DS

  1. What gorgeous Spring photos! Such a lovely view out to the Pyrénées too. Here spring seems to be finally on its way, and it can't come soon enough!

Those peppers, olives and bread look delicious, as does that glass of something sparkling. :)

Spring is probably my favourite time of year, and I love seeing the leaves unfurl and the buds blossom. I think the fact that it is so late here makes me appreciate it all the more.

    Have a lovely week!

PS: I don't know if you saw my earlier comment re my lovely cashmere scarf, but since it was my mother's (she kindly gave me one since she had two of the same design, although different colours), I'm not sure just what the name is. I will try to find out the name and colourway. Hoping we are scarf twins! :)

    1. Many thanks for the lovely and kind comment, dear Melusine. Hope spring is well on it's way by know! Re the cashmere scarf, perhaps you did not see my reply...if you could email me a pic, I might be able to help identifying the design (maitaicollection@orange.fr) It would be lovely to be scarf twins with you :-) Have a wonderful weekend ahead, hopefully filled with warm spring sunshine!

  8. Beautiful pictures which remind me same parts in Provence. We were going each year before I can smell the olives' fresh bread, and the songs of birds. Monica
