Spring shopping - Neutrals: part two

The second and final part of 'Spring shopping ~ neutrals' features a lightweight trench for cooler summer days (also by Gerard Darel Ref US/Ref France/Ref UK)


Capsule pieces: printed silk top, 3/4 length cotton trousers and grey/beige trench
Shoes: Espadrille wedges
Accessories: Hermès 'Aux Pays des Epices' 90 Carré, Clic H bracelet in marron glacé and etoupe Kelly
Scarf tying method: Basic bias fold


 





Variation with the crocodile print shirt, 35 Kelly in etoupe and marron glacé clic H bracelet

  1. Oh Mai Tai, I love this coat, it's just perfect! :-) Gorgeous color, and cut, and you wear it beautifully. These often elusive, simple basics, make my heart sing! Hope to order one, do you find their clothes run true to size?

  9. I like trench coats but till now always thought of them as for utility wear; but now am thinking of trench coats for fashion...love how you wear coat with the scarf.

  10. Hope the weather will be better than here!! but at least if raining you have the perfects clothes to walk to Acquitaine dear Mai Tai. I loooove this trench just large as it needs, and all same luxious colours accessories. greige, blanc cassé,little fantasy same ton shirt,
    Etoupe so chic.... In one word, my style! I like all colours you are wearing and when I open my closets hum 3 (4) colours with a lot of different items.... Spend a wonderful week end dear Mai Tai. And bring us back beautiful pictures.

    1. Many thanks for the good wishes, dear Monica, the weather has been absolutely glorious! On Sunday we had over 30 celsius, and you could almost see the leaves shooting out of their buds. Chin chin to spring and beautiful colors!

    I like your sunglasses ( like they say in the magazines, "just seen"). Is this the pair from your beach post of Jan 5. I've been meaning to ask you the brand and style. Can you share?

    1. Happy you like the look, thanks so much! The sunglasses are by Fendi, the model is FS447. They came out in 2008, so it might be difficult to find them. Please let me know if you manage to locate a source.. I need to restock :-)

    It is said imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so please, my dear, be most flattered. My coat arrived today and I adore it. I concur that it runs true to size. Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention, and I will think of you and thank you silently each time I enjoy wearing it. It's nice to have a raincoat that is a bit dressier.
