The first episode of the 'Hommage to Venice' summer look sheets is inspired by the beautiful terrace of the Fortuny restaurant on Giudecca island and features my new cowl neck top, which reminds me of the Canal San Marco's lagoon colour.

Monica writing. I loooove the combination of these colours with the taupe luxuous accessories.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
Spend a good week end dear Mai Tai with more sun than us in your country...
Merci, chère Monica! Have a wonderful weekend too (next week summer is apparently arriving..)!
DeleteThank you for the summer sheet - I am trying to imagine that summer will truly arrive.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen as many false forecasts as in weather forecasts this year - I think I should make better forecast for stock exchange market (I know nothing about it) than the weather-forecast-experts in their own field...
Thank you for the positive comment related to quality of the Kettlewell Colours products in the previous post - one of the most important info to me, as I am tired of one-time usage products and I want to buy some truly nice quality items.
Please, if summer comes to you - do let us know and send the photo, you know that we all love to see you featuring the items (and summer).

It surely has been a long wait for summer (or even spring!) this year. Here it seems to have arrived at last, and hope it has with you too! I could not agree more with you on quality. Regardless the price, any item with a short life span (or worse, one-time usage!) is quite simply a waste. Summer pics to come :-)
DeleteHoly Hotness, it's 95 degrees with very high humidity here in Philadelphia. We summer in the Hamptons (New York, and it can't come fast enough!!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, that with the humidity here, I cringe at the thought of wearing my silks...I'll stick to the leather goods until I reach Southampton!!

Between us all, we probably pretty much cover the global weather, from freezing cold to scorching hot! How wonderful to have a summer in Southampton to look forward too. Keep cool and fresh until then!
DeleteI am quite besotted with this colour combination - so chic and the top is like liquid! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks, dear WMM! I love the ‘liquid’ quality of the top too, it is just perfect for the cowl neckline.
DeleteWhat a beautiful post, my dearest MaiTai! A perfect outfit for a great Summer day! Love the flower knot, so pretty and feminin:)
ReplyDeleteAs always you combine colours and items in your posts like no one else does. So perfectly! Enjoy a wonderful weekend, my dear. Sunshine hugs, M xx
So happy you enjoyed the post, many thanks for the lovely and sweet compliments my dearest Manuela! Hope you had a wonderful weekend too. Summer hugs xx
DeleteDear MaiTai,
ReplyDeleteI just love these colours together everything looks so perfect for summer when it eventually arrives for me too.
Your last post of all your lovely new Kettlewell purchases look fab, cant wait to see them all in action, may I ask how do the sizes run are they true to size or slightly smaller, larger.
have a great weekend
Jane x
I can’t even remember a year when summer took as long as this to arrive! Re the Kettlewell Colors tops, I find they run true to size. I chose their fitted styles, and therefore I wouldn’t take a smaller size than my usual. Hope this helps :-)
DeleteIt's cold and rainy here in Vienna as well, but your beautiful pics and the perfectly harmonizing and yet again inspiring combo instantly lifted my mood! The brazil is such a lovely "calm" gavroche. Have a lovely Sunday (despite the lack of summer) - hugs, me
ReplyDeleteHope the rain has stopped by now, my dear Macs! At least it allows us to wear our silks a little longer... Hope you had a great weekend, whatever the weather! xx
DeleteDear MaiTai, Catching up on your posts a bit. Lovely ensemble, and so nice for you to have gorgeous Venice, as a continued inspiration! :-) I'm looking for a pale grey belt. May I ask, is your Gris T a recent purchase (a current offering)? Is Gris T a warm, pale grey, or a warm, pale beige? And what is the reverse color of your belt? Any thoughts, and/or color info greatly appreciated.
ReplyDeleteDear NN, please excuse this belated reply! Gris T is a lighter and cooler version of Etoupe, and I would describe it as a cool and pale beige. I bought the strap about 4 years ago, and the reverse side is chocolate box. Hope this helps :-)
DeleteMany thanks dear MT, for your detailed reply, so very helpful! Hmmm...so my search continues for pale grey. Until then, hope to find Etoupe, which is likelier a much easier find! ;-) Thank you, again!
DeletePerhaps Gris Perle? Not sure how easy to find though. Best of luck!!
DeleteThanks so much, will inquire! :-)
DeleteA fascinating discussion is definitely worth comment.
ReplyDeleteI do believe that you need to publish more about this subject,
it may not be a taboo subject but typically
people do not discuss these issues. To the next! Best wishes!!
