Happy Chinese New Year!
Today
the Chinese Year 4712 began the Year of the Horse. The start of a New
Lunar Year is celebrated with colourful traditions, aimed to bring
happiness and good fortune for the next twelve months.
One of the traditions is to wear red (red symbolizes happiness and good luck) and so I've accessorized with red today!

Aye...Year of the Horse...right up any H lover's alley! Looking very smart in your celebration outfits! Love the look with the plissé! I often forget to use mine...good to see one at play! They make great belts, too! Also, love the fact that you only broke your 'line' once, with either the belt or the shoes, but not both...something to always keep in mind<3 Chin chin to good health and good fortune to all in the Year of the Horse!!! Have a wonderful weekend, T xx
ReplyDeleteThe plisse is one of my favourites and yet I don't own one...hmm!

Dearest MaiTai MaiTai MaiTai!!!
ReplyDeleteA very prosperous lunar new year to you too, and what a glorious way to bring in the year of the horse--with just the right accents of red!!!
Again, how much I love the way you connect all of your treasures with each new addition, you bring along another item already in your collection.
Luv how you've connected all the shades of red so seamlessly--sanguine, rouge garrance, and those knock-out red shiny foot jewels! (Vivier pumps).
Thank you for sharing w/ us,
sammie
So stylish!
ReplyDeleteThe pop of red is divine (as is the first knot; I must try that.)
ReplyDeleteA very Happy Chinese New Year to you, dearest Maitai! May the Year of the Horse bring us all abundance of happiness and good fortune! You look as lovely as ever, so bright and festive on this joyous occasion - the criss-cross bow is such a dear favorite <3 So adore the beautiful Projet Carré plissé with its perfect equestrian theme for this year. I've been gone so long, missed you so very much! Can't wait to catch up with all the gorgeous posts. Wishing you the loveliest weekend, dearest MaiTai. Sending you all my love with biggest and warmest January hugs <3 xox
ReplyDeleteSo happy to find you back and celebrating Chinese NY in black and red with superb pictures of horses.
ReplyDeleteYou are fantastic in these colours also but what does not suit you beautiful Mai Tai?
Amities

A very happy "year of the horse" to you, dearest Mai Tai, with hopes that it brings a year of health and prosperity to us all!
ReplyDeleteI see that we are La Réale twins. I haven't worn it in some time, and I've decided to wear it today in your honor! We blondes need to wear red more often (perhaps that will be my Chinese NY resolution) because it's so flattering!
Tomorrow is Super Bowl Sunday and I'll be sporting a lovely fur collar from your collection, and a silk with lots of blue to support the Seattle Seahawks!
Have a stellar weekend!
You look fabulous in all the red! Wish you and your family a prosperous year of horse!
ReplyDeleteLovely look on you, so smart, you look wonderful. Thank you for sharing your photographs of the zodiac sculptures by Ai Weiwei - I think his work is wonderful, thought-provoking installation at Tate Modern in London still haunts me. Have a happy Chinese New Year and a wonderful weekend. s
ReplyDeleteFabulous! A very happy year of the horse to you dearest MaiTai.
ReplyDeleteDearest MaiTai,
ReplyDeleteSo pretty in red...you look lovely! The photo of the horses, is this the same one that hangs over your mantle that we have caught glimpses of? This is a beautiful picture.
I want to thank you for the lovely lavender sachets, not only do they smell wonderful, but are so beautifully made. I put them in strategic places in my dresser and every time I open it, I think if you.
Have a most wonderful week!
Warmly,
Simone xx
Semi-paraphrasing some Latin mottos, your motto surely could be "semper stylish" (don't know a Latin word for "stylish" :-).
ReplyDeleteHave you seen any specific reissues, any cws so far?
I am a big fan of La Reale - do you know which cws might be around? Any "strong neutrals"?
Being quite far away from the H shop, I browse Internet every day for cws of reissues, without much success so far...
Love, Lea
Scarf twins with you and haverfordgal on this scarf. I inherited it from my MIL, and just the other day before your post, I thought about pulling it out as it does not receive a lot of attention. I'm not sure why, but it should as it ties so beautifully, as you have shown. I'm looking forward to seeing the cws for SS2014 on this re-issue.
ReplyDeleteHaverfordgal, I live in the Seattle area. This city has gone crazy with blue and green! Even the Space Needle is illuminated in Seahawk colors with the supporting structure being blue, and the top, green. Too warm to wear the MT fur collar today, but I'll be sporting blue and green silk. ;-)
Warm hugs,
CS
Dearest MaiTai,
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely in red and black and I love your `Projet Carré´.
I hope to find the right carré plissé myself one day :-)
To happiness and good fortune, my dear, for you and all the ladies here.
Have a great day! Much love, Manuela
