Dear MaiTai, Your tutorials encouraged me to start a Hermes Scarf Collection. I never bought scarfs before, because I didn’t know how to wear them properly. I hope, the mail arrives soon with my scarf ring,so I can start to practice the knots.
I have a question for you: Do you are a “purist Hermes” when it came to scarfs or there are other brands that you explore? Two weeks ago, I saw a pretty silk scarf (Italian house), but the price was not significantly different from a Hermes scarf in the same size, so I didn’t buy it. I know Hermes has the highest reputation. I am not sure if there are other designers that deserve those prices. So far, I am very happy with my first scarfs, I am glad I found your tutorials and start to explore the brand.
So very happy to be part of your new found love for scarves! Hope your package will be with you soon, and wish you much fun knotting and experimenting.
Re your question, finding the right scarf is all about falling in love with it, and making sure it suits your complexion and wardrobe (more thoughts on this here). These points are much more important than a brand. However, I do love my Hermès scarves more than any other :-)
Those gloves make my heart beat faster!! Love the color...gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI adore the screen in the back of both of these posts.
ReplyDeleteThe screens are enlarged details of this spring/summer 'Le Jardin de Leïla' 90 carré, and depict the garden of Hermès' window stylist, Leïla Menchari.
DeleteThe gloves, the gloves, the gloves!!!!
ReplyDeleteI know!!!
