Shoes: two-tone ballet flats
Accessories: Hermès 'L'Instruction du Roy' cashmere GM, Clic H enamel bracelet in marron glacé, and Picotin in etoupe
Last
week, the temperatures went up to glorious and summery 25 degrees,
but then a cold mistral came, followed by clouds and rain. The above
look can easily be adapted to more wintery spring days, by simply
replacing the light colored trousers and shoes with darker ones:
Capsule wardrobe pieces: dark camel corduroy trousers and grey v-neck sweater
Shoes: dark brown boots
Accessories: as above
I'll be away for a few days, and look forward to catching up with you soon.
Hope everyone had a wonderful start into spring!
xx
Lovely, beautiful looks my friend! These colors are right up my alley no matter the season!
ReplyDeleteHave fun away and hoping your showers have lead to beautiful Spring blossoms! Look forward to seeing posts upon your return. Mwah, mwah T xx
I'm with you on the colors, my dearest T <3 Have a wonderful remaining weekend, and a happy spring week ahead! Big mwahs to you xx
ReplyDeleteI am truly fascinated by your 10 EURO find ! It still lives in good condition. obviously do not have any luck with clothing - most of my pieces end up their lives quite quickly, due to pills, distortion, etc....
ReplyDeleteHermes scarves are surely a biiig exception to that rule, I guess I am buying them trying to feel the real quality under my fingers and have a real classy item in my outfit, although mostly only I know which kind of item it is...my inner satisfaction and feeling of true clothing value which never betrayed me.
Lea
Sorry, the third sentence is, of course, missing "I" at the beginning, it should be "I obviously do not have any luck with clothing...".
DeleteOtherwise it might sound as if you do not have any luck with clothing - your luck is obviously higher than mine...at least, it sounds so by this moment...
Lea
If only we’d know beforehand which items hold up well! The grey sweater is 100% man-made fiber, perhaps this is why it is such a success. ;-) I bought a black wool mix at the same stand, and it became unwearable after a couple of weeks only!
DeleteDear MaiTai,
ReplyDeleteI love this look, and like Trudye, tend to gravitate toward these colors.
Have a lovely time away. See you when you get back :)
Simone xx
If only H would issue more scarves and shawls in beautiful neutrals!
Deletedivine as always! x
ReplyDeleteThanks, FF xx
DeleteOn the picture the sweater looks blue which is very nice with dark camel pants also.
ReplyDeleteGood taste is not in the prices sometimes but for accessories yes! An H bag with a 10 euros pullover save any cheap top if well choosen like you do dear MT!
This is my way to dress. To mix up never put all expensive things together.

Blue and dark camel is a fantastic combination too, and I also agree with you that mix is key! Amities
DeleteSorry it was Monica las comment!
ReplyDeleteI knew :-)
DeleteI can almost feel the cosy softness of this scarf. The grey jumper just keeps giving!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your trip.
You know we were talking about falling for the classics again I am totally in love with the navy/taupe brides de gala broche. I've not seen it in aus yet but when I do.... She will be mine!!!
Xxx
Hope the sweater continues to give for some time! Good luck with the BdG brodé, all fingers crossed!
DeleteDear MaiTai, I am a silent reader of your blog for already a couple of years now and have to admit that you are a true style inspiration for me! I really enjoy reading through your posts and pick up ideas for outfits, travels (a long weekend in Paris is ahead of us and I am planning a visit to FSH!) and cooking. Thank you very much for your effort and your lovely work with the blog - it's highly appreciated and I can imagine that it means a lot of work which is not always visible. Bisous, Tina
ReplyDeleteHello dear Tina, it is so lovely to see a new face, a very warm welcome to you! Have a most fabulous time in Paris (we’ve just come back, hope you enjoy the pictures)!
DeleteI also have been reading your blog for over a year without commenting. Thank you for your beautiful photos. I live in the mountains in California (Lake Tahoe) and we are under snow for half the year. I live vicariously through your gorgeous photos of Southern France and Paris!!
ReplyDeleteOh how wonderful, another new face! A warm welcome from the South of France to CA. Hope you'll continue to enjoy the posts and pictures!
DeleteSo pretty!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Jen!
DeleteDearest MaiTai,
ReplyDeleteYour grey V sweater was really a great purchase!
Your shawl is so pretty, perfect with the light beige and the dark camel trousers, which are very pretty and versatile.
You look fabulous, as always!
Enjoy your time away! Big mwahs to you, M*
So true re the sweater, my dearest Manuela! On a cost per wear basis, it is the best item in my wardrobe. Just wish I’d have it in a few other colours too! Have a lovely Sunday x
DeleteLovely ensemble - great colours and shades. And so nice to see your feature piece in my Kettlewell brochure when it arrived in the post today! I'm also really enjoying experimenting with my new shawl ring.
ReplyDeleteJane
Thanks so much! So nice to know you enjoyed the brochure, and that you are having fun with the shawl ring!
DeleteStrange! I would have never chosen brown and grey together...but now I see how perfect the two colours go together! Very inspiring! Thank you! Best wishes Claudia
ReplyDeleteHappy you like the combination, many thanks, dear Claudia!
