Capsule wardrobe #125 - early spring

Capsule wardrobe pieces: light beige cotton trousers and grey v-neck sweater (my 10 EUR market find from a couple years ago, and still in good shape!)
Shoes: two-tone ballet flats
Accessories: Hermès 'L'Instruction du Roy' cashmere GM, Clic H enamel bracelet in marron glacé, and Picotin in etoupe

Last week, the temperatures went up to glorious and summery 25 degrees, but then a cold mistral came, followed by clouds and rain. The above look can easily be adapted to more wintery spring days, by simply replacing the light colored trousers and shoes with darker ones:

Capsule wardrobe pieces: dark camel corduroy trousers and grey v-neck sweater
Shoes: dark brown boots
Accessories: as above

I'll be away for a few days, and look forward to catching up with you soon.

Hope everyone had a wonderful start into spring!

xx

  3. I am truly fascinated by your 10 EURO find ! It still lives in good condition. obviously do not have any luck with clothing - most of my pieces end up their lives quite quickly, due to pills, distortion, etc....
Hermes scarves are surely a biiig exception to that rule, I guess I am buying them trying to feel the real quality under my fingers and have a real classy item in my outfit, although mostly only I know which kind of item it is...my inner satisfaction and feeling of true clothing value which never betrayed me.

    1. Sorry, the third sentence is, of course, missing "I" at the beginning, it should be "I obviously do not have any luck with clothing...".
Otherwise it might sound as if you do not have any luck with clothing - your luck is obviously higher than mine...at least, it sounds so by this moment...

    2. If only we’d know beforehand which items hold up well! The grey sweater is 100% man-made fiber, perhaps this is why it is such a success. ;-) I bought a black wool mix at the same stand, and it became unwearable after a couple of weeks only!

  4. Dear MaiTai,

I love this look, and like Trudye, tend to gravitate toward these colors.

Have a lovely time away. See you when you get back :)

  5. On the picture the sweater looks blue which is very nice with dark camel pants also.
Good taste is not in the prices sometimes but for accessories yes! An H bag with a 10 euros pullover save any cheap top if well choosen like you do dear MT!
This is my way to dress. To mix up never put all expensive things together.

  8. Dear MaiTai, I am a silent reader of your blog for already a couple of years now and have to admit that you are a true style inspiration for me! I really enjoy reading through your posts and pick up ideas for outfits, travels (a long weekend in Paris is ahead of us and I am planning a visit to FSH!) and cooking. Thank you very much for your effort and your lovely work with the blog - it's highly appreciated and I can imagine that it means a lot of work which is not always visible. Bisous, Tina
