  2. Very nice pictures, dear MaiTai! The colours are so soft and warm, somehow lightweight! It's truly amazing how well the tunic and the MP scarf go together! You really have got a great eye for that! It's a pure joy to see the "Anneau Infinity Ring" on you. I absolutely love mine! Best wishes Claudia

  4. Hi Maitai, I think you look beautiful in your silk tunic, did I read somewhere in one of your posts that you tend not to wear Pink so much? Well, it makes you glow! Also looking at the scarf and tunic seperate, I found it hard to imagine together, but what a great marriage. Loving your postcards from Paris, the picture quality is fabulous. Best wishes, Susan.

    1. Yes, it's true dear Susan, pink is one of the colors I don't often reach for. I can never resist it in spring, with all the beautiful blossoms around! I'm sure the tunic will have many summer outings though :-)

  5. Love Tory Burch designs - classic but with a twist and reasonably priced for the quality. I live in her Reva flats for casual shoes.

  6. Oh, my! I remember when you bought this tunic in Berlin (it was Berlin, wasn't it?) and thought that you would add Chasse en Inde in cw 37 to your silk collection and pair the two together. But MP works just as well, if not better! These two are stunning together! Love the photos of the doors, too! While on holiday, or just walking around my eye and camera are often drawn to doors, windows, architectural elements. Well done, on both accounts, dear!! Brava!

    Warm orange hugs,

    1. Yes it was Berlin! Together with the blue and white tunic, it is my favorite souvenir from the trip. The Chasse en Inde would have been perfect too, it's a great idea. Hugs right back x

  7. Hello dearest MaiTai! This is such a pretty post and you are positively glowing in these soft colors. I love your pretty Tory Burch tunic with your gorgeous scarf. How on earth did you find the perfect pink door to match? You truly are amazing! :-). Warmly, Simone xx

    1. Hello dearest Simone! I took the picture of the pink door a couple of months ago, when visiting a friend in a village nearby. It came back to memory the second I saw how well the scarf and tunic went together!

  10. Dear MaiTai, the tunic is so beautiful on you! Who would have thought it would complement the scarf so well? The doors are so grand- where are they? A big, imposing door painted soft pink, what an interesting contrast!

    1. Hello dear Fifi, Glad the doors have so many admirers, they truly deserve it! The grand dark green one is in St Germain, Paris (can't recall which street), and the pink door is in the South of France, in a small village nearby :-)

  14. Dearest Mai Tai,
I love pastel colours and this post is so delicate and elegant! <3
Your tunic is a dream! Love it! So much that I ordered one for me last year. You gave me a great idea, combining it with your Mythiques Phoenix and although I don´t owe that scarf I´ll try with other black/white scarves I have.
The doors are so pretty, specially the light pink one, and I am also very curious to know where you discovered them.
Have a wonderful weekend, my dearest Tunica twin :-) Manuela xx

  15. I read your posts with delight. They are beautiful but also so educational. It's like having a stellar French girlfriend advise one on daily dressing. This Spring I knew I'd acquire a new Hermes since I needed a neutral. I live in the Hudson River Valley far from an H boutique so I must shop online which is tricky. I am thrilled to say I settled on the Phoenix. Later, when I saw you chose the same I was really tickled. I know the idea is not to copy Mai Tai -- still I can't help but feel I have learned so very much about choosing, wearing, and dressing overall! Now I'm delighting in watching you wear your MP and getting much new inspiration. Thanks for being my style guru extraordinaire! My best, Alyson

  16. Dear Mai Tai,
As usual, you have posted such beautiful photos that they are, in themselves, a lovely escape to a world where elegance and refinement are still appreciated. Although my etoupe bolide would work just as well with these ensembles, your blue de prusse bolide is the perfect subtle "punch" to keep the outfit from becoming monochromatic to the point of boring. Well done! The bolide is my favorite luxury handbag for "flying under the radar." After seeing your stunning blue de prusse, I may well have to rethink my next color choice!

    1. Dear Elizabeth, many thanks for the warm and kind words. So happy you enjoy the pictures, it is wonderful to meet like minded souls through here. I could not agree more with you on the Bolide, it is such a chic and understated bag. BdP is a great blue indeed, not too bright and with a touch of grey/green. It's beautiful and versatile!

  18. What a lovely combination and perfect ensemble. These colors are so sophisticated and summery.
By the way, I followed your strawberry Bellini recipe again this year and the outcome is delicious. I even made more and froze the puree in ice cream trays to have some over the summer for prosecco or cava. Thank you for that wonderful and tasty recipe.

    3. Thank you, dear Claudia and MaiTai. This, your recipe is the best and the strawberries are soo good here this year. Sante and Prost to you. BTW, my kids enjoy the cubes with lemonade or juice as well. An all-around winner.
