It was a moment of complete joy when I discovered what a great match the Mythiques Phoenix and the Tory Burch tunic (bought in Berlin last year) are
LOVE the colors...I live in these colors, the tunic is fabulous as is your entire outfit:)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
DeleteVery nice pictures, dear MaiTai! The colours are so soft and warm, somehow lightweight! It's truly amazing how well the tunic and the MP scarf go together! You really have got a great eye for that! It's a pure joy to see the "Anneau Infinity Ring" on you. I absolutely love mine! Best wishes Claudia
ReplyDeleteSo happy you love your Anneau Infinity! They've been out of stock for such a long time...it's nice that I can finally show them again! LG
DeleteDearest MaiTai! Talk about a perfect match. You look so lovely!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, dear J! Finding a perfect wardrobe pairing is always such a joyous moment.
DeleteHi Maitai, I think you look beautiful in your silk tunic, did I read somewhere in one of your posts that you tend not to wear Pink so much? Well, it makes you glow! Also looking at the scarf and tunic seperate, I found it hard to imagine together, but what a great marriage. Loving your postcards from Paris, the picture quality is fabulous. Best wishes, Susan.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's true dear Susan, pink is one of the colors I don't often reach for. I can never resist it in spring, with all the beautiful blossoms around! I'm sure the tunic will have many summer outings though :-)
DeleteLove Tory Burch designs - classic but with a twist and reasonably priced for the quality. I live in her Reva flats for casual shoes.
ReplyDeleteI've never tried the Reva flats, but will do one day soon!
DeleteOh, my! I remember when you bought this tunic in Berlin (it was Berlin, wasn't it?) and thought that you would add Chasse en Inde in cw 37 to your silk collection and pair the two together. But MP works just as well, if not better! These two are stunning together! Love the photos of the doors, too! While on holiday, or just walking around my eye and camera are often drawn to doors, windows, architectural elements. Well done, on both accounts, dear!! Brava!
ReplyDeleteWarm orange hugs,
CS
Yes it was Berlin! Together with the blue and white tunic, it is my favorite souvenir from the trip. The Chasse en Inde would have been perfect too, it's a great idea. Hugs right back x
DeleteHello dearest MaiTai! This is such a pretty post and you are positively glowing in these soft colors. I love your pretty Tory Burch tunic with your gorgeous scarf. How on earth did you find the perfect pink door to match? You truly are amazing! :-). Warmly, Simone xx
ReplyDeleteHello dearest Simone! I took the picture of the pink door a couple of months ago, when visiting a friend in a village nearby. It came back to memory the second I saw how well the scarf and tunic went together!
DeleteBrilliant! I always thought if I wore a print shirt, I couldn't wear a scarf. Thank you for broadening my horizons and the wardrobe!
ReplyDeleteHave fun playing and experimenting, dear Greta!
DeleteThat's a gorgeous tunic, and what a perfect match with your scarf. Just a lovely ensemble!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks, Heidi! Love the tunic too :-)
DeleteDear MaiTai, the tunic is so beautiful on you! Who would have thought it would complement the scarf so well? The doors are so grand- where are they? A big, imposing door painted soft pink, what an interesting contrast!
ReplyDeleteWarm aloha,
Fifi
Hello dear Fifi, Glad the doors have so many admirers, they truly deserve it! The grand dark green one is in St Germain, Paris (can't recall which street), and the pink door is in the South of France, in a small village nearby :-)
DeleteMaitai I love this look the tuinic looks so good with this scarf. I bought a new scarf at lunch in a blue and red pattern. So cheering. The phoenix scarf sold out all over Australia really fast. It is absolotely divine.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a lovely weekend. x
Congratulations on your new scarf, can't wait to see which one you got! It's truly amazing how popular the Phoenix is, especially since it's been only a couple of years since the original issue. Have a great week! x
DeleteDear Mai Tai,
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely fabolous!!!
As I have said many times before you are gifted!!!
It's not easy mixing patterns but MP and the silk tunic look like a pair made in heaven!!!
Who could imagine!!!!
An the knots are perfect for our Mediterranea long hot summer.....
To you and your joie de vivre!!!!!
Enjoy the weekend and the solstice!!!
Regards from Barcelona
My dearest ilsa, thank you for the lovely words! It's been certainly quite hot recently, so there will be more 'warm weather knots' to come! We had rain all night though, and today's been wonderfully fresh and cool. Have a lovley week!
DeleteDearest Mai Tai,
ReplyDeleteI love pastel colours and this post is so delicate and elegant! <3
Your tunic is a dream! Love it! So much that I ordered one for me last year. You gave me a great idea, combining it with your Mythiques Phoenix and although I don´t owe that scarf I´ll try with other black/white scarves I have.
The doors are so pretty, specially the light pink one, and I am also very curious to know where you discovered them.
Have a wonderful weekend, my dearest Tunica twin :-) Manuela xx
Oh how lovely to be tunic twins with you, my dearest Manuela! Hope you are finding a lot of pretty scarves to go with yours <3 Re the doors, I took the picture of the pink one in a village nearby, and the dark green one in Paris. Both literally stopped me in my tracks! xx
DeleteI read your posts with delight. They are beautiful but also so educational. It's like having a stellar French girlfriend advise one on daily dressing. This Spring I knew I'd acquire a new Hermes since I needed a neutral. I live in the Hudson River Valley far from an H boutique so I must shop online which is tricky. I am thrilled to say I settled on the Phoenix. Later, when I saw you chose the same I was really tickled. I know the idea is not to copy Mai Tai -- still I can't help but feel I have learned so very much about choosing, wearing, and dressing overall! Now I'm delighting in watching you wear your MP and getting much new inspiration. Thanks for being my style guru extraordinaire! My best, Alyson
ReplyDeleteHello dear Alyson, Many thanks for the lovely comment! So nice to be scarf twins with you, here's to our beautiful bird! Hope you'll like my future suggestions too, and wishing you much fun experimenting with this beautiful scarf. Warmest regards from your GF in France :-)
DeleteDear Mai Tai,
ReplyDeleteAs usual, you have posted such beautiful photos that they are, in themselves, a lovely escape to a world where elegance and refinement are still appreciated. Although my etoupe bolide would work just as well with these ensembles, your blue de prusse bolide is the perfect subtle "punch" to keep the outfit from becoming monochromatic to the point of boring. Well done! The bolide is my favorite luxury handbag for "flying under the radar." After seeing your stunning blue de prusse, I may well have to rethink my next color choice!
Dear Elizabeth, many thanks for the warm and kind words. So happy you enjoy the pictures, it is wonderful to meet like minded souls through here. I could not agree more with you on the Bolide, it is such a chic and understated bag. BdP is a great blue indeed, not too bright and with a touch of grey/green. It's beautiful and versatile!
DeleteLoving the pattern mix! Well done!
ReplyDeleteThank you Dearest!
DeleteWhat a lovely combination and perfect ensemble. These colors are so sophisticated and summery.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I followed your strawberry Bellini recipe again this year and the outcome is delicious. I even made more and froze the puree in ice cream trays to have some over the summer for prosecco or cava. Thank you for that wonderful and tasty recipe.
Warmly,
Tanja
Dear Tanja, thank you for your great idea of freezing the strawberry puree in ice cream trays! I did it the same, today, and wish you und our dearest MaiTai a warm "santé" with my refreshing Rossini cocktail! Best wishes Claudia
DeleteI agree with Claudia, what a great idea, dear Tanja! Thanks so much for sharing <3 Will do a double batch next time (ie tomorrow!), and can't wait to pop the special cubes into my prosecco glass. Chin-chin to you both!
DeleteThank you, dear Claudia and MaiTai. This, your recipe is the best and the strawberries are soo good here this year. Sante and Prost to you. BTW, my kids enjoy the cubes with lemonade or juice as well. An all-around winner.
DeleteTanja
All of the above! But it's your radiance that really makes the outfit
ReplyDeleteThat's so very kind of you, thank you!
DeleteDear MaiTai,
ReplyDeleteAgain another wonderfull triumph,
The top and mp scarf look made for each other, and since we are twins on the mp I think it looks like it will go well with most colours.
Have a lovely weekend
Jane x
Thanks so much, my dear MP twin! You are right, the scarf is a true 'chameleon', it goes with almost anything in my wardrobe! Have a most wonderful week xx
DeleteDear MaiTail, what a beautiful combination of scarf and tunic, so clever to put them together, I would never have thought to mix patterns like that. Thank you for showing us more MaiTail magic Bxx
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to experiment, sometimes the best combinations are the result! Have fun playing! xx
DeleteLove the colours in your outfits and also the photos in this post. You look absolutely gorgeous! Anny x
ReplyDeleteThanks so much dear Anny, happy you enjoyed the post!
DeleteMai Tai - you have a knack for finding the most perfect, understated print TB tunics and combining them with H scarves. This is just gorgeous together.
ReplyDeleteThe tunic really was a great find, and it even more so as it was on sale. It was one of these lucky days!
DeleteAh, yes, thanks for amending your post -- it was Berlin in which you bought the Tori Burch tunic! What a lovely piece for your capsule wardrobe. Warmly, CS
ReplyDeleteMany thanks!
ReplyDeleteSo beautifully delicate and gorgeously feminine, dearest MaiTai! You truly are the master of blending to perfection! The doors are so magnificent. Thank you, always, for your ever exceptionally beautiful posts. Sending you lots of warm summer love with big hugs xxx
