It's been a
little while, and although I've been back for a few days I just have not had the time to sit down and sort through the pictures I
took in Paris last week.. life has been incredibly busy!
The
weather was full of changes and surprises, one day sunny and summery,
the next cold and rainy, with people wearing winter boots and coats.
No pictures of FSH windows this time... they were under re-decoration
Capsule wardrobe pieces: midnight blue jeans, black 3/4 sleeve t-shirt and dark blue jacket

Don't you look chic--and you are enjoying your new scarf! I love the little peeks you give us into Paris life. Hopefully, I will visit there next fall and enjoy it for myself! Welcome back--

DeleteDearest MaiTai,
ReplyDeleteWellcome home!!!!
We have missed you, Haven't we????
I can't wait to see more pics..
And you look as chic, elegant and cool as always .. I do love how well your MP "plays" the part with the rest of your wardrobe... You are gifted!!!
Looking forward to seeing more... any reveals from FSH??????
Warm orange hugs from Barcelona!!!!
Missed you too, dearest ilsa!!! The MP has been such a good travel companion, and was perfect on sunny days too. Rien from FSH this time… no windows and no orange boxes! Have a fun and lovely weekend <3
DeleteDearest MaiTai,
ReplyDeleteA warm welcome back, we've missed you so much! You look beautiful in both photos, but the first one you look like a movie star! Love the dark navy with your beautiful scarf. Hope you have a great week. Warmly, Simone xx
Oh missed you too!! Thanks so much for the lovely welcome back, dearest Simone <3 Hope all is well, and have a fab weekend!
DeleteWelcome back dearest MaiTai! Seeing how you combine your birthday scarf makes me even more excited to be scarf twins with you. You are such an inspiration. Just booked a trip to Paris and I am so excited to see this beautiful city again, it has been three years since my last visit. And maybe if I am really, really lucky I will bump into you there:-).
ReplyDeleteTwin hugs to you, dear J! Hope you’ll take yours with you to Paris. Have fun planning your trip, and a most wonderful and fabulous time in Paris!
DeleteDear Mai Tai, you always look younger and youager, what is you secret?
ReplyDeleteYou are often with me because I wear the scarf ring every day, with my scarves Hermès or not.
Thank you for your lovely photos, I love Paris too,
Anne Marie
So happy to know you enjoy your scarf rings, dear Anne Marie! Re your question, there is good light and bad light…good light lifts of a decade. The light in the shot above was extremely good! ;-)
DeleteLove that scarf and love seeing the Paris photos, especially the people wandering about.
ReplyDeleteThat lunch arrangement looks pretty good. x
People watching in Paris is such fun. Could sit in a café all day long! x
DeleteWould that be Mr. MT on the bicycle?
ReplyDeleteNo, it’s not him :-)
DeleteManuela <3
DeleteHi Maitai! Beautiful post and I love your jeans on this one: may i ask where they are from?
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Béatrice, Switzerland
Hello Béatrice, happy you like the jeans! The style is ‘Charlize’ by 7 for all mankind :-)
DeleteThanks!
DeleteWelcome back, as always so chic and elegant.....you inspired me for what to wear today, so thank you!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks! Nice to know we were both wearing black and blue :-)
DeleteWe just missed each other! I was in Paris the week before! Of course, you look chic and relaxed, as usual :)
ReplyDeleteI did lots of shopping but only brought back few H scarves and a bracelet. I had a crate of Salon Champagne shipped...can't wait to sip the bubbly when it arrives! I'll toast to the anticipation of more of your beautiful posts to come~
Have a stellar week, dearest Mai Tai.
Oh can't believe we've missed each other so closely! Hope you had sunnier skies! Would love to know which scarves you brought back, and how exciting to hear about the Salon. Hope it will be with you soon, chin-chin to this fabulous souvenir from France! Have a great weekend x
DeleteYou are looking cool, calm and collected and of course, tres chic! Postcards pics from Paris are a delight and I am sure you had a special time! Love the monochromatic styling here...great style sheet, too! I am sure you are over the moon busy getting your bag insert orders filled! Must say...love mine...especially the GM Pico insert that makes me feel as if I have a new bag! It has been rendered a relaxed slouch instead of the full out melting that it had taken on with much use! Thank you for this long needed posture correction for the Pico! Have a wonderful week! T xx
ReplyDeleteAww my dearest friend, it is always such a special joy when you come strolling with me! We had a most lovely time indeed, despite the mix in weather of summer and winter. So happy the insert and your GM Pico have become good friends! Have a most lovely early summer weekend xx
DeleteLovely photos, love the Chanel building and really reallly love that scarf xxxx
ReplyDeleteThe building is like a little bijoux, I’ve never been inside though! xx
DeleteThank you for a little hit of Paris in this post. I really love what you are wearing, the entire outfit is perfect, especially the way you have tied that scarf! Can't wait for part deux. XO, Jill
ReplyDeleteMany thanks Jill, happy you liked the post! The criss-cross bow knot is one of my favorites, and it's so easy to tie. Have a great weekend!
DeleteAbsolutely wonderful photos of yourself and Paris dear MaiTai - elegance at ease. That cw of MP is stunning. Were you able to see, and if so, what were your thoughts on this design in the pareo?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the new addition to your insert line, could an Evelyne option be far behind?
Maisie xox
Thank you, dear Maisie! FSH did not have the pareo, they were waiting for a new delivery. Would have loved to see it though. Will let you know if I see it somewhere else! Re the Evelyne, I've had quite a few requests, so I am definitely thinking about it. Have to get the bag first though! ;-)
DeleteThank you for the beautyful pictures from Paris! I'm really happy to know you back, although I love the inspiration you gives us all from your trips... a real predicament! Yesterday we had a real thunderstorm. In Düsseldorf, a city you know quiet good I think, many old trees were destroyed and disrooted. A sad picture of destruction today... So much worthier for me to see the nice pictures from you... Best wishes Claudia
ReplyDeleteThank you for the sweet welcome back, dear Claudia. I saw the pictures of Düsseldorf, the destruction was so devastating and sad. I hope you and your loved ones were ok through this. Alles Liebe und Gute x
DeleteHello,I'm new to blog and thoroughly enjoying myself. Have a few questions concerning scarves. I am fascinated by how you incorporate the scarves into your everyday life, regardless of weather, activity or occasion. I am afraid to wear them if any precipitation is threatened( told not to let rain drops on them), if wearing moisturizing oil and makeup, or for everyday casual wear for fear of appearing too pretentious( I' m an American). Hence my scarves are usually lovingly admired but seldom worn. Maybe a few words from you can give myself and others the confidence to wear the scarves as you do. Also I was treated to a carre pochette for Mother's Day by my daughter and she was so impressed by your prompt service and elegant presentation. I love my pochette and use it daily.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for the lovely message dear alana, and a warm welcome to my blog and our chat corner! Regarding your question I agree with Veronique, your scarves are meant to be worn and enjoyed. And yes, they won’t stay as pristine as when newly bought… nothing does. Like all well loved items, they will develop slight signs of wear over time, but because of their wonderful quality, they will be friends for life. Re moisturiser, perhaps I would not tie a scarf around my neck immediately after applying it, but once it’s soaked up, I don’t see why not. Alternatively, opt for a low knot, away from the neck. For casual days, you can adapt the scarf styling… wear it in a cowboy knot or as a necklace, or in a loose basic slide. I don’t worry too much about a few drops of rain, but if it pours down, you can always slip your scarf into the pochette (so happy you are pleased with it!). Hope you’ll take your treasures out of their boxes soon, and wishing you many happy playtimes and the best of fun with them!
DeleteVery happy to see you again and black /dark blue is very Ines.....
ReplyDeleteI will be aeay 15 days dear MT since end of week.
Amities
Monica
Have a most wonderful and fun time away, dear Monica! Black and blue is very Ines indeed, and looks fabulous on her (what doesn’t)..particularly with her dark hair!
DeleteWelcome back, dearest MaiTai! You were greatly missed <3!
ReplyDeleteLove your photographs from Paris, my favourite city of all. You look so calm and graceful on the first photograph. Always elegant and very chic.
Have a great remaining week M xx
Missed you too, my dearest Manuela!! Thank you for strolling along with me through Paris <3 Hope you like part II too, and have a fabulous weekend!
Deleteoh thank-you Veronique! I think I shall put one on right now :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you will, dear alana. Have fun!
DeleteThe second last picture with the person sitting at the small round table is an interesting picture. It looks like there is a loose car wheel rolling across the street and the momentary refraction of rainbow light across that person's neck and the band of light across the forearm add so much mystique to the picture. The only thing earthly about the picture is the food and the cell phone. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the way you described the picture! The wheel was luckily attached to the car which drove past the café, and the rainbow is a reflection of the ‘Ceintures et Liens’ scarf I’ve been wearing :-)
DeleteOh, I see! How kind and clever of you to bestow a reflection of the beautiful 'Ceintures et Liens' around someone's neck and arm! Sweet! :-) Emily
DeleteWelcome back, dearest MaiTai! Thank you for the visual holiday of Paris. Love your dark blue and black paired with the light gris - tourterelle. Gorgeous. Scarf twins with you on the MP, a truly versatile neutral scarf.
ReplyDeleteWarm orange hugs,
CS
So wonderful to be twins with you on this beauty, my dear CS! Happy orange hugs xx
DeleteYou look incredible in the jacket/jeans, MT!
