Reader's style challenge

Style challenge submitted by haverfordgal via blog post comment on the previous scarf look sheet challenge:

Perhaps you can help me with my newest silk, Wa' Ko-Ni in cw 15. I'd like to wear it with pieces that transition from Winter, as well as with Spring and Summer outfits. Any suggestions?
Many thanks...looking forward to more posts like this!!...

Thanks so much for the request, dear haverfordgal! This has been interesting challenge, mainly because the scarf's predominant color is green.. a color which is completely absent in my wardrobe and accessory drawer! You will recognize most of the pieces in the style sheets as my own, but to resonate with the colors my capsule wardrobe is lacking, I borrowed a few tops from www.kettlewellcolours.co.uk and a couple of accessories from www.hermes.com. It's been interesting to discover to what extent a scarf in colors 'out of the usual' can be incorporated into an existing wardrobe, and how many pieces need to be added to create a broader variety of looks. Merci encore!

  3. Yay! Thank you dearest MT for giving me style inspiration for my scarf! Each look is PERFECTION. And, as a leopard print fan, I'm tickled to see that you've included the animal print blouse! Now, I must get a Pico in Camel. Love how it looks here, and such a versatile colour. Kettlewell makes fantastic key pieces for any wardrobe. I can't tell you how happy I've been with everything. Well...I'm off to play in my closet! Many thanks and have a stellar week dear MT!

PS. The PIco GM is in 'Kraft' by the way, it's a sort of mustard/camel/gold. Love it dearly!

  4. Dear Madame Maitai, I am so pleased myself to see this challenge as I own a Hermes scarf in green and brown CW...you have put together some great combinations and I always love your style sheets; but it's easier to 'see' these looks when they're assembled together; and we can also see how you tie the scarf....I don't suppose you'd do some of your selfies' of yourself wearing some of these looks for the green-brown CW ? :-)
    Cheers, your fan, Mandy

    1. Hello dear Mandy! I is truly wonderful to hear that the post inspired you to get your vintage beauty out to play! Re the pictures, I'm really sorry... I don't own this scarf, so no knotting or mirror shots this time.. x

  5. Those Max Mara 7/8 pants are interesting. They seem to take on different colours. In these pictures, they take on a tinge of the green, and in one of your previous posts you wore pink with them and they look pinkish. :-) Emily

Incidentally, I have been living in my Orans this summer, so comfy.

  12. This post floored me. So many different looks out of one scarf that, initially, I would have thought a limiting CW. Thank you.

BTW, from where is that beautiful picture with the birds? I love it!
