Our
late autumn has been mild and came with a lot of rain. Overcast skies
cast subdued light onto the fading yellows, gold, rust and reds of the
remaining autumn foliage. Rather than standing out, they seem to blend
in softly with their surroundings. It's not the usual crisp and clear
autumn this year, but just as beautiful in a different way.

DeleteI love the way everything integrates so beautifully and seamlessly - your new bordeaux sweater with existing pieces, the gorgeous GM, the fall colors, and that purple scarf ring is perfect with the Pani-La Shar Pawnee. What an artistic eye you have! We are moving right into winter here in the midwest but I'm glad to see that a lovely autumn lingers somewhere in the world! Thanks for a great post!
ReplyDeleteIt's always a thrill when a new wardrobe piece breathes fresh life into an existing one... so happy the cardigan and skirt like each other! Wore the Pani today, the scattered autumn leaves reminded me so much of the horses on it's border. Stay warm, and have a happy Thanksgiving!
DeleteI love "moody" fall days, and you've captured them perfectly, and of course, you look superb - the gold autumn leaves should be jealous.
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see you with that L'Instruction du Roi shawl, I want to cry, though. I WANT THAT SHAWL!

It's been a long time since I had a Thanksgiving dinner, it's such a lovely event and custom. Have a wonderful dinner tonight, and a joyous festive season ahead (and hopefully a white Christmas, too).
DeleteThe beautiful mustard colors are so very Autumn, and you wear them well, dear MaiTai! I love the damp leafy look of this season. It appears we are having similar weather here in the Seattle area. A very happy Thanksgiving to all les américains who visit MaiTai's world (gobble gobble, Jerrine and Annie!), and lovely weekend wishes to all.

Late autumn hugs to you, my dearest Scarf Enthusiast! I so much love this season, despite the rain. Our salon is a magical place indeed, a million heartfelt thanks to you and the other ladies for making it so special <3 Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving xx
DeleteMaiTai, you look so warm and cozy wrapped in your L'Instruction du Roi shawl. The bordeaux sweater is the perfect "added touch"... you make me remember my college years in New England, when the foliage turned in the fall. You don't name the brand of your shoes, but they are FABulous! Quirky, colorful, and I'll bet they're comfy, too. You have a way of combining elegance with comfort that never fails to amaze me. I've reached the age where I refuse to wear clothes that hurt. Yet I refuse to dress like a slob! I have learned so much from your blog: it is perfectly possible to be well-turned-out without being trussed up like a Thanksgiving turkey!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful your college years must have been, dear Elaine! I have very fond memories of New England... the colors of the indian summer are just out of this world. It's been a long time, and I'd love to visit one day again. The shoes are by Roger Vivier, and yes, they are very comfortable :-) Hope you had a great Thanksgiving (with a well trussed up turkey)!
DeleteMerci, ma chère Jamais! It's my favorite season... xx
ReplyDeleteA very happy Thanksgiving Day to all the lovely Salon members and ladies across the Atlantic xx
ReplyDeleteYou're one classy lady! There's just no one else out there who wears scarves the way you do. Love your style. Just ordered a fur collar and scarf ring and will try to imitate your style. ;) Not that I'd look as gorgeous as you are but will try to wear scarves like you do. :) Btw, this autumn colours look lovely on you and it's indeed perfect for the current grey and wet English weather. Can't wait to wear my "Maitai's fur collar and scarf ring," :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the lovely and kind comment, dear jezrel. Many thanks for the order too. Hope your fur collar and scarf ring will be with you soon, and wishing you much fun playing with them!
DeleteDearest MT,
ReplyDeleteI was thinking....Style Challenge....can you possibly post some outfits according to Cities?
In other words, "Dinner in Gstaad, Movie Night in NYC, Brocante trawling in Paris.....etc. You're so well traveled and each city has it's own personality. New Yorkers tend to wear lots of black, a week in St. Barths would have a completely different vibe.
Just a thought! <3
So beautiful! You are simply wonderful dearest MaiTai! Haverfordgal´s style challenge sounds so wonderful, I would love to see that too<3
