Ever
since my little dachshund Milo came into my life, I've been asked if a
dog accessory line will be added to the shop. As much fun as that would
be, the many different sizes and shapes that our four-legged friends
come in would make it logistically quite a complicated addition (at
least for the moment!). So I thought I'd share my favorite finds on the
blog instead.
The beautiful items in this post caught my eye years ago, before even thinking of having a dog. When I told the manufacturer that their lovely creations will be featured on the blog, they offered to apply a 20% discount for my dog or cat owner readers (details at the bottom of the post). I am so excited to be able to pass this on, thanks so much again Lord Lou!

I only wish their beautiful pet furniture range would come in human sizes too.
Handing over to Milo:
The size is perfect, and there is still room for me to grow!
The size is perfect, and there is still room for me to grow!
But wait... Mum says there is more!
A blanket!
Perfect for hiding
and snoozing
When I got up, Mum said she's got one last thing to show me.
More??? I am already quite happy with what I got!
Ok, ok, I want to know... what could it be!!
Mum
explained that winter is coming (not quite sure what 'winter' means!)
and that the 'Tom' cushion will keep me very warm and cosy.
And because my Mum has a blog and Christmas is coming, Lord Lou offers all of Mum's readers a 20% discount on their pet furniture range and dog and cat accessories.

Milo is too cute! Love his new bed and blanket and pillow--I have a cat who'd like that pillow! Thank you for sharing the info with us.
ReplyDeleteGosh, Milo, how kind and considerate of you to help out hard-working Mum with her blog. But, heck, for lovely presents like these, I'd help out, too. For sure, you are one lucky little pup, but since Mum is so besotted with you, if you play your cards right, you'll probably end up with a whole house full of furniture.
ReplyDeleteYour new bed is quite lovely and oh, so French, but what I'm really envious of is that luscious Tom cushion. I want one . . . for my own people-sized bed. Do you think you could put in a good word with the company?
Keep up the good work, precious pup. You're training Mum very well so far.
A kiss on your adorable nose,
Aunt Jerrine
P.S. - Will you share your cosy new bed with the beautiful Chips? Bet not!
Jerrine, sounds like you were well trained by your cat :))
DeleteRita
But, of course, Rita. I'm of the mindset that if you have children, you spoil them a little, but if you have pets, you go all out!
DeleteAnd, yes, my dearly departed Lily trained me well - had me wrapped around her pretty little grey paw from day one. The house belonged to Lily. I was only a tenant (and the cleaning lady)!
Love to you,
Jerrine
This is so cute!!!! I can't believe how cute their furniture is . I need matching beds xx
ReplyDeleteMilo is adorable and this post is so lovely, darling Mai Tai. Milo will have a very cosy Winter with the kind and wonderful Mum he has. Kisses to both of you, Manuela xx
ReplyDeleteLove these posts with the adorable Milo. And of course (!) you should start a dog accessories section in your shop. We would all appreciate your fabulous fashion sense for our four-legged friends.
ReplyDeleteOh too cute MaiTai!! Milo is adorable.SAx
ReplyDeleteOh, dear! What a beautiful, funny story! I'll show it to my gradson!
ReplyDeleteLovely blog, MaiTai! Lord Lou couldn't expect more, many thanks! We are convinced that Milo will love you forever :-)
ReplyDeleteI am totally besotted dearest Milo.... I adore your new bed and only wish that these were made for us humans too... Be good for your lovely Mum dearest one... Xx
ReplyDeleteHi Jayne,
DeleteI was thinking the same when I first saw Milo's new bed.... It would be perfect for my studio, if it were human-sized. dearest Milo is very lucky to enjoy such stylish furniture and rest of his goodies :-)
Waving to all Swans,
Aneta
Dear Mai Tai,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful little bed. Of course the super-cute Milo is the perfect model. My little Bichon is quite envious.
Thankyou for sharing,
DK
VERY FUN!
ReplyDeleteMILO is set for the WINTER!
Just a tad bit SPOILED...........?NO!
You are a gifted photographer, dear MT, and Milo is a natural model. This post gave me a big smile from the inside out. Thank you so much (and for the discount too -- my Willieman needs one of those winter cozies)!
ReplyDeleteMuch aloha,
Fifi
He definitely needs one, Fifi. He might even share it with you. I think that furry cushion is a great idea, though, especially for older pets (of course, Willieman is nothing but a pup himself!)
DeleteThey'd be great for older Swans, too. I want one; I need one.
Hugs to you and W,
Jerrine
Oh, Jerrine, what a good idea to buy one for puppy, one for self! Willieman and I have been through the ringer with his recent tumor surgery, but all is well. He gets the stitches out Thursday, and the pathology report came back clean. Yay! Warm blankies for everyone!
DeleteMuch aloha,
Fifi
So happy to hear that sweet Willeman is ok. Yes, warm, beautiful blankets for all!
DeleteBig furry hugs, T xx
Awwww, poor Willieman; poor Mama Fifi. I'm so happy to hear that he's fine.
DeleteWas it a Mast (sp?) tumor by any chance? A very good friend's pug just went through the same thing with the exact same results. She was told that pugs are very susceptible to this kind of tumor.
So glad it all turned out well.
Love to you both,
Jerrine
Thanks, sweet Trudye! Jerrine, it sure was a mast cell tumor. I had no idea pugs were susceptible before this experience. Boxers too, apparently. I'm glad your friend's pug is doing well. If you catch them early (at Grade 1) there's a much better chance that surgery will take care of the problem.
DeleteHappy Thanksgiving to all the Swans who celebrate this holiday! My bro, sis, and I are dining out at a nice Italian restaurant downtown. No muss, no fuss, just cucina delicioso! Much aloha to all --
Fifi
Dearest Milo’s Mummy,
ReplyDeleteYou bought fantastic goodies for your four legs son ! Very happy to see that you are as besotted as I and Aunt Jerrine are! Lucky Milo, and lucky you, this is just unconditional love.
It doesn’t exist anymore but remember, until 2014, at the fourth floor of Harrods there was the Pet Kingdom, I didn’t caution the fact they were selling all kinds of animals including exotic ones like lions, elephants and alligators (incredible isn’t it? very British…) but there was such an exciting choice of royal beds, cushions, crazy collars for our pets…
You found the same spirit with Lord Lou, thanks for sharing, I’m sure that Newton the Rocket and his older sister would love to have a faux fur cushion under the Christmas tree!
xx Catherine
Rocketman definitely needs that fur cushion, Catherine. Will he share, or will you need to buy another for sis?
DeleteAnd, hopefully, the Christmas tree will survive the Rocket! :<)
Bonnes fetes, cheri,
Jerrine
Ma très chère Jerrine,
DeleteI definitely will have to order two cushions! Concerning the Christmas tree I had to do without last year (I had to hang up everything to the living room's ceiling!!!!), I feel ready to fight this time, even if I already know who is going to win... Let me buy some unbreakable Christmas decorations!
Love,
C.
Unbreakable Christmas tree decorations - good plan, C. We used to do that when I was growing up. Mom would use the kid-proof, dog-proof, cat-proof ornaments on the tree and suspend most of the fragile heirloom ones from the ceiling on varying lengths of invisible fishing line. It was always quite beautiful.
DeleteShe did threaten to put a barbed wire fence around the tree one year, though, after we found a rather large fur "ornament" hanging from a branch near the top. One of our cats found a tree just too irresistible.
Of course, less than a minute later, the tree tumbled to the ground. Many ornaments smashed; cat fine.
Good luck,
Jerrine
PS - Sorry about calling you a cheri instead of a chere. My French is deplorable!
We just had that discussion about breakable ornaments, considering that it'll only be our second dog attended Christmas- and last year's little fence will only provoke a long-distance jump! Plus, no sweets on the tree this year (DH insists to have them high up!) as little Miss is as addicted to chocolate as mom (but not allowed to have it). Maybe a beautiful sofa such as Milo's would convince her to lie still and adore the tree from a safe distance? I'm sure Milo loves his new acquisition- he and the furniture are a match made in heaven - what a lucky guy!
DeleteGood luck to all swans struggling with trees and pets (or toddlers:)
Katja
cheri, a barbed wire fence around the tree, the fur "ornament" hanging...
DeleteJerrine, I love your style and I am laughing in my bed trying not to wake up DH ;-)
Lol, C.
You swans crack me up! Your mom was a genius, Jerrine! I'll bet the ceiling looked magical. Catherine, all your beloveds need a cushy cushion. Katja, we both know it will take more than a beautiful sofa to make little Miss lie still when chocolate is at stake. Why do they love what is so bad for them? (For that matter, why do we?)
DeleteMuch aloha and trumpeting swan noises,
Fifi
This could be the most adorable post I've ever seen!
ReplyDeleteI am totally in love with you Milo :) and wish a cozy cushion for myself too for Christmas. The color suits you very well.
ReplyDeleteRita
Thank you so much MaiTai for this post! I ordered the same items last night and really appreciated the discount, since they are being sent all the way to San Francisco, California USA. The shipping was 130 Euro. I haven't seen anything this beautifully made over here; I love them! Do you found any sites for beautiful collars, leashes, etc?
ReplyDeleteThanks, unknown! Your parcel is on its way! We feel flattered that Lord Lou sofa is heading your way and really hope you and your pet will be happy. Now also launching cashmere pullovers for our small four-legged friends. Online as from Monday. Warm regards from the Netherlands, Hanneke Grufman/Lord Lou
DeleteHi Hanneke Grufman! Thank you for getting the goodies out to me so quickly. Looking forward to seeing the cashmere pullovers. Warm regards, Jaime
DeleteYour Milo is so photogenic, he should be a dog model !
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree. And it could be a package deal - beautiful Mum and adorable Milo.
DeleteRegards,
Jerrine
So cute! I want Milo!! XO
ReplyDeletePrecious! Just precious! Because Lily likes to treat her bed as a giant stuff toy, fine pet furnishings are out of the question for her. The Lord Lou line looks lovely. If I had a dog that wasn't such a busy little savage I might consider it -- although the fur beds look potentially Lily-proof.
ReplyDeleteHey Milo'
ReplyDeleteWe think you are one posh pup and love your choice in picking such a lovely, elegant Mum!
Actually, we were going to offer a few pointers in how to wrap yourself around your Mum's little finger, but it looks as if you already have that skill;) The poses, the look...darling you have it down pat!
You have even convinced her to buy you an elegant bed and bedding already! Keep up the good work! We foresee a touch of cashmere and maybe even a H blanket in your future!
Let us know if you would like any tips or tricks. We would love to be of assistance!
Sending big furry hugs to you. Mwahs from two cool cats,😻😻
your gorgeous little boy, looks so happy in his special bed! Enjoyed this sweet post1
ReplyDeleteOhlala Milo is so cute and very proud of his new fabulous bed and cover..... What a Happy little dog, mamy is spoiling him with joy, I totally understand that. Now 14 years of esclavage as we say.... But much more easy with a house than in a flat....
ReplyDeleteAmities
Sorry mum and not mamy , not yet!!!
ReplyDeleteSqueeeeeeee ......with cuteness for Milo!
ReplyDeleteHow adorable is he!
barb
:-) Oh, he's so adorable, dear MaiTai!
ReplyDeleteAnd the pictures are excellent. You captured him in all the right moments.
There's a Dachshund in our family, too. She is an old lady now, but still and totally crazy, chases after everything that moves.
Have a wonderful weekend and very HAPPY times with your new family member xo :-)
Thank you so much everyone for the wonderful, fun, charming and warm comments and stories, and the sweet words for darling little Milo. I've been very busy in the last couple of weeks, but each comment made my day. Mille merci and a great happy woof from Milo! Have a wonderful weekend and a great start into the festive season everyone xxx
ReplyDeleteAdorable little woofer! You'll have to have him wearing a pocket size Hermes scarf sooner or later ; )
